Dr. David Valkos was born in Anchorage, AK where his dad was stationed in the army. He later moved to Washington DC and Newport News, VA. His father went to Vietnam and was killed in action in 1965. Dr. Valkos spent the rest of his growing up years in PA. There he attended a private boys’ school in Hershey, PA and graduated in 1978. He attended Penn State for 2 ½ years and another small state school for a year and a half, completing his pre-chiropractic requirements.
Dr. Valkos then went on to Northwestern School of Chiropractic (now Northwestern Health Sciences University) graduating in 1986. He practiced two years as an associate doctor in Austin, MN with Dr. Mjoen. Dr. Valkos then bought Dr. Don Larson’s practice in Lake City, MN in 1988 and has been here for over 20 years.
He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 20 years and they have been blessed with 4 sons, Bradley, Andrew, Michael and Mark. They also had an opportunity to adopt a little girl from China named Jenna, who has been an incredible addition to their family.
Their family attends Valley View Assembly of God church in Lake City, MN and Dr. Valkos has been active in the church serving on the church board and with the youth group for many years.
Dr. Valkos’ hobbies include nearly all sports, especially football, baseball and golf.
